Glycolic Acid Peel

In today's advanced clinical skin care world there are a lot more choices in peels and exfoliators than there were when I first started incorporating peels into my treatment protocols. Still despite all the "new", one of the most popular skin peels for skin age management that I've been using since 1991 remains the Glycolic Acid Peel.

Glycolic Acid is an exfoliating agent used to correct, dissolve excessive oil and stimulate skin cell turn-over. A compound of molecules that are linked together for better penetration through the skin layers, Glycolic Acid has the smallest molecular size so it can penetrate and be absorbed by the epidermis more quicly that all of the other AHA acids.

Benefits of a Glycolic Acid Peel:
Dissolves oil helping to release dead skin cells
Lightens hyperpigmentation
Detoxifies congested pores
Corrects and prevents Acne
Smooths fine lines and wrinkles
Stimulates collagen production
Refines skin texture
Creates a youthful, healthy look.
